Product Description

Imbue your cocktails with the sweet taste of good ol’ American gin by picking up this bottle of the quintuple-distilled No. 209 Gin.

The No. 209 distillery, so named because it’s the 209th registered in the United States, began its operations in 1882 after winemaker-turned-distiller William Scheffler decided to pursue his passion for crafting spirits. Proudly painting the number 209 on his distillery he began crafting exquisite distillates, most notably gin, and began racking up awards not just in his home country but also overseas including a medal from the Universal Exposition of 1889 in Paris, France.

This No. 209 Gin is the 87th incarnation of the spirit which was originally developed during the distillery’s early days. Made from corn sourced from the Midwest, the gin is made using a series of 5 distillations with the first 4 is done using a column-still with the resulting distillate then infused with flavor through maceration. The final distillation is then carried out using a 25-foot alembic copper pot-still after which the gin is finally brought to proof and bottled.

Refreshing citrus notes dominate its nose supported by hints of juniper, orris root, licorice, coriander, and angelica. This paves the way for a vibrant and bittersweet palate of lemon, bergamot, orange oil, citrus zest, spice, more juniper, cassia, and cereal grain, all tied together by a clean and invigorating finish of juniper, cassia, and herbs.

An excellent cocktail gin that can also hold its own as a sipper, the No. 209 Gin is a fine example of a modern gin and one that you would be glad to have on your shelf. So pick up a bottle today and start whipping up a few glasses of Martinis for the enjoyment of you and your friends.
