Product Description

"The unmistakable glamour and elegance that is Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne has an equally illustrious starting point. Back in 1876 Tsar Alexander II asked his favorite champagne house, Louis Roederer, to put aside only the very best champagne for him every year. To mark this very special cuvee, a bespoke flat bottomed, transparent, lead crystal bottle was commissioned, and was named after the precious material accordingly. Only created years which deliver exceptional harvests, Cristal is made from approximately 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir, then aged for 6 years. The result is a dry, yet creamy champagne with a long finish. The inimitable golden color speaks of white fruits, honey, toast and hazelnut which compliments the silky mouth feel and mineral notes."

  • Specially commissions by Tsar Alexander II.
  • Dry and creamy with flavors of apple, white cherry, honey, toast and hazelnut.
